
DAVID SWEENEY
David Sweeney is a lawyer and lobbyist with extensive experience gained in Brussels, London, Los Angeles and Washington DC.
He has represented governments, industry, writers and performers in negotiation, hearings and litigation at national and
international level. David has, over the past fifteen years, developed a wide range of contacts with key decision makers
in the European Union and in the United States as well as within the international media and entertainment sector.
Over the past ten years, in senior legal and public policy roles at Universal Music, Universal Studios, Vivendi, the Motion
Picture Association (MPA) the International Record Industry Federation (IFPI) and the Interactive Software Federation
of Europe (ISFE), David has worked for, or negotiated with, the major media companies in Europe and the United
States. David is recognised as an expert on public policy, licensing and administration of rights by the videogame,
music, television and film industries, and was responsible for worldwide rights management at IFPI and MPA.
GER SCULLION
Ger Scullion is an expert in creative and interactive technologies and an
active participant in the rapidly changing media infrastructure brought
about by 'Web 2.0'. Drawing on his background as a cutting edge web designer
Ger specialises in identifying how the huge developments that have been
brought about by Web 2.0 can be harnessed to reach Generations' X' and 'Y'.
He is experienced in dynamic and recent innovations such as user-generated
websites, online games, web and software development and targeted
advertising campaigns.
Ger's experience in web-based creative design have served him well in his
work for small and multinational companies alike. Ger has built for some of
the world's largest brands and corporations, and also specialises in
User Interface Design for both large and small businesses, whilst always
remaining focused on the core business objectives.
JOSEPH GLYNN
Joseph Glynn M.Sc. is an expert on environmental
policy, issues and markets. Over the past fifteen years Joseph has
provided expertise to new and established companies in the renewable
energy, recycling and waste management sectors and has a wide knowledge
of the technology associated with these areas. Joseph has also written
and broadcast on environmental issues and assisted in the organisation
of annual conferences on energy and land use.
Joseph has a wide-ranging knowledge of EU and national environmental laws, regulations and support
schemes and recently completed a thesis on Sustainable Development
at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). Joseph’s dissertation
evaluated mandatory Tradable Green Certificate schemes, a policy support
mechanism for renewable energy deployment and emissions reduction
in the US, UK, Sweden, Japan and Australia. This necessitated a thorough
and up to date study of current international and national environmental
policies on climate change and emissions regulation.
